Everyone's Voice Is Needed in Advocacy for Increased Behavioral Healthcare Funding from the State and Federal Governments

March 6, 2025

“We are pleased and grateful to Governor Murphy that critical programs supporting New Jerseyans with mental health and substance use disorders appear to have been maintained, though remain concerned that current funding levels do not cover the costs of providing care. With the current transition of many services to managed care, those costs continue to increase. We recognize the severe fiscal restraints facing the State, but do hope that much needed investment will be made in FY2026,” stated NJAMHAA President and CEO Debra L. Wentz, PhD.
